How to clean the Fisher & Paykel Kitchen Extractor

Recommended cleaning: Clean the filters every month (or more often if you cook regularly with oils or frying). This will ensure it operates efficiently and that you keep any crawling kitchen pests away (congealed oil build up attracts little friends).

  1. Open the cover
    Gently pull down the magnetic cover to access the filters.
  2. Remove the filters
    Push the catch on each of the two filters and lift them down.
  3. Wash the filters
    • Wash in warm, soapy water, or
    • Place in the dishwasher (top rack).
      Allow them to dry fully before refitting.
  1. Clean the housing
    Wipe inside the extractor with a damp cloth to remove grease build-up.
  2. Reinstall the filters
    Push the filters back into place until the catches click.
  3. Close the cover
    Swing the magnetic cover back up until it holds securely.
